KISHTWAR, Dec 27: Protest of Sumana Bhata Nagseni locals who lost their land to Kiru Power Project today entered day 2.
The protesters have resentment against the management of power project for ignoring them.
Speaking on the occasion Abdul Rashid-who led the protest said neither they are provided any employment by the power project nor have they received any compensation or any others benefit from the concerned company.
He also said that due to blasting by the project personnel houses of the locals have developed cracks.
Locals have urged upon J&K LG and DC Kishwar to look into the matter.
Those who were present in the protest were DDC Member Nagseni, Faizal Ahmed; Nazir Ahmed, Liaquat Mintoo, Mohd. Qasim, Mohd. Shafi and others.
Meanwhile, Thakur Randeep Bhandari, spokesperson Democratic Azad Party has said that Patel Engineering Company is behaving like East India Company and is ignoring the genuine demands under political pressure.
He urged upon the administration to take a note of sufferings of the public.
