JAMMU, Apr 26: The people of Poonch city held protest demonstration against the power crisis in the area here today.
A large number of people under the banner of Youth Club Poonch assembled at City Chowk here and started protest against the PDD authorities. They alleged that Divisional Commissioner Jammu and PDD Chief Engineer had given deadline of April 20 to restore smooth power supply to Poonch but even today hardly 2 to 3 hours a day power supply is being given to Poonch since January. They alleged that earlier 5-6 hour supply was being provided but now the condition has further deteriorated. They burnt the effigy of the State Government and raised slogans against Chief Minister.
