RAJOURI, Nov 1: The local people from Rajouri area and the students of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah (BGSB) University held strong protest against the dilapidated condition of University road and total neglect on the part of District Administration and the concerned R&B authorities.
Today, a large number of students and local people assembled at the University Crossing near the town here and held strong protest demonstration. They were raising loud slogans in support of their demand and also against the District Administration Rajouri and the PW (R&B) authorities at Rajouri. They alleged that hardly three weeks ago, they had held strong protest but the authorities despite assurance remained unmoved.
They alleged that neither local administration nor, R&B SE and Executive Engineer are serious about the road. Due to worst condition of road the students have been left to suffer.
The students alleged that the road leading to BGSBU is in worst conditions and R&B failed to maintain this road despite huge hue and cry from public and students. Most of the students and staff members arrive University on scooties or bikes but they have to face hardship due to dilapidated condition of road leading to University.
Since the day this University established, till now the road is in worse conditions and no one is looking towards this. Public and students appealed to the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and the Chief Secretary to wake up Rajouri Administration and R&B Chief Engineer, Jammu and SE Rajouri-Poonch from deep slumber.
