SRINAGAR: Property worth lakhs of rupees has been destroyed in a devastating fire at Batmaloo area in summer capital, Srinagar, late on Wednesday night, official sources said.
They said the blaze broke out in a house at Baran-Pather, Batmaloo, late on Wednesday night.
However, fire tenders were immediately rushed from nearby Fire and Emergency Service to control the leaping flames.
However, three houses and other household property worth lakhs of rupees has been damaged in the fire.
No one was injured, they said, adding the cause of inferno was not immediately known. Police has registered a case and initiated proceedings. (AGENCIES)
