Prof Shohab nominated Regional Secy of Afro Asian Writers Union

JAMMU, June 14: Professor Shohab Inayat Malik of Jammu University was today nominated as Regional Secretary of Afro Asian Writers Union,  which has its headquarter at Cairo (Egypt).
His nomination was made by Chairman Afro Asian Writers Union Dr Ali Javed.
The Afro Asian Writers Union was established in 1956 and its aims and objectives are to fight against all kind of hatred and promote communal harmony and world peace. Prof Shohab Inayat Malik will look after the affairs of the Afro Asian Writers Union in Jammu and Kashmir. In this connection Prof Shohab Inayat Malik will visit Egypt in the month of August-September to build better relation of J&K with the Afro Asian Writers Union.
The author of 15 books in Urdu, Professor Shohab is presently working as Director of Kishtwar Campus of Jammu University. He is associated with various literary and cultural organizations of the State. He is a well known columnist of the State who frequently writes on different subjects. He is also the general secretary of All India Urdu Teachers Association. Shiksha Rattan award winner Prof Shohab has been honoured by various organizations of the country for his contribution to the development of Urdu in county. Azhar Urdu Academy Aligarh has honoured him by its prestigious “Mohab Urdu Award”. Besides Jamia Milia Islamia, Kashmir University, Merut University has also honoured Professor Shohab Inayat Malik.
