KISHTWAR, Feb 22: The Director of the Kishtwar Campus of University of Jammu, Prof Shohab Inayat Malik, met the Minister of State for Home and Industries, Sajjad Ahmed Kitchloo and put forth various problems being faced by the Kishtwar Campus.
The Director told the Minister that Kishtwar Campus is lacking funds which have not been released by the State Government till date as a result of which employees of the campus are facing hardship as their salaries have not been released yet.
He further informed the Minister that Permanent teaching and non-teaching faculty had not been provided by the Government to the Kishtwar Campus due to which campus is running on contractual employees.
The Minister assured the Director that financial assistance from the Government would be released very soon and on permanent faculty members the Minister said that he would take the matter with Chief Minister.
Sajjad further said that very soon compensation would be released so that 101 kanal land be acquired for the further extension of the Kishtwar Campus.
