SAMBA, Feb 22: The Forest Department sealed three saw-mills illegally operating in Barian area of district Samba today.
Giving details, Chief Conservator of Forests (CCF) Jammu, Ravi Kesar disclosed that on the basis of complaints, the joint team of Forest Territorial Wing Kathua Division and Forest Protection Force Jammu conducted raids and sealed three illegally operating saw-mills belonging to Madan Lal, Ashwani Kumar and Ramesh Kumar of Samba. He further disclosed that saw mill of Ashwani Kumar was also dismantled during action by Forest team. It was operating without any license while two others were violating apex court directives and other standing guidelines.
