SRINAGAR, May 14: Governor, N. N. Vohra, in his capacity as Chancellor of the Kashmir University, has decided that Prof. Ali Mohd. Shah, Dean Academic Affairs, University of Kashmir will carry out the duties of the Vice Chancellor of the University till the new Vice Chancellor is appointed.
Prof. Talat Ahmad was relieved of his charge as VC, University of Kashmir today, consequent to his appointment as VC, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi.
Pertinent to recall that various important issues relating to the functioning of the University were discussed when the Chief Minister called on the Governor yesterday.
