JAMMU, Aug 26: Jammu University has removed Prof Rajinder Gupta as Director of the Academic Staff Colleges for his alleged misuse of official position.
Relieving Prof Gupta, the JU has given the additional charge of Director Academic Staff College to the Registrar till further order.
Sources informed that two Woman Professors of the University had earlier called on the Vice-Chancellor Prof M P S Ishar and complained against the outgoing Director. The duo had accused Prof Gupta of being vindictive in functioning as the Director.
Taking cognizance of the informal complaint, the VC ordered removal of Prof Rajinder Gupta with immediate effect and taking over of the charge of Director Academic Staff College by Registrar, sources said.
