Prof Parveen Singh, S/o Gurbachan Kour and Capt Mohan Singh Virchakra, H.o.D Department of Computer Sciences, Govt SPMR College of Commerce, who has been conferred with the “National award for the year 2014-15”, the prestigious national recognition by the Government of India at an award ceremony at Technology Bhawan, New Delhi. Prof Singh was presented this award for his outstanding contribution of promoting Science among Children. The Award comprises of Citation, a memento and one lakh rupees. The award was presented by Y S Chaudhary, Minister of State, Science and Technology, Govt of India in presence of BP Singh, Prof Ashutosh Sharma and Dr Inder Jit Singh.
