JAMMU, Sept 17: Expressing his dis-satisfaction with the decisions and suggestions of the Mubarak Mandi Heritage Society, Prof Lalit Magotra has resigned from executive committee of the Society, which has been entrusted with the job of multi-crore conservation work of the Dogra heritage building.
In his resignation letter, faxed to Vice-Chairperson of the Executive Committee, Prof Magotra has said that he was not comfortable and satisfied with what has been recorded as minutes of the Executive Committee meeting, held on September 15, 2016.
“Many of the suggestions/ recommendations/decisions as recorded in the minutes are in contradiction to the By-Laws of the Society and cannot stand the scrutiny of law,” he says in his resignation letter, adding that under the circumstances, it would be improper for him to continue as a member of the Executive Committee.
