SRINAGAR, May 19: Prof. G.M. Bhat, Department of Geology, Jammu University, called on N.N. Vohra, Governor, here at Raj Bhavan today.
Prof. Bhat briefed the Governor about the preparations underway, being made by the Geological Society of London, to organize the Conference on Sustainable Resource Development in the Himalayas at Leh in end June 2014. The Geology Department, University of Jammu, is involved in this Conference.
Prof. Bhat also informed the Governor about the ongoing Seismotectonic researches which are being carried out by the Geology Department, under his direction.
