JAMMU, May 19: J&K PHE ITI Trained and CP Workers Union held a protest demonstration at the office of Chief Engineer, PHE.
The workers assembled in the premises of Chief Engineer, PHE and raised slogans in favour of their demands.
Addressing the gathering, president of the union Tanveer Hussain said that the Government should frame a policy for their regularization at the earliest.
“We the trained casual labour employees of PHE Department appeal to the Government to consider our genuine demand of regularization as we have completed the required formalities in all respects”, he added.
He further stated that they approached the concerned authorities but nothing has been done till date.
He urged the Government to consider their demand at the earliest otherwise ITI Trained and CP Workers Union has decided for “Kaam Chodo Hartaal” on June 2 in all the divisions of J&K.
Among others who addressed the gathering were Subash, Deepak, Mushtaq, Sajjad, Parvez, Manjit, Manish, Rippan, Chandan, Abdul, Ashfaq, Younis, Kulbhushan, Raman, Amarjeet, Javed, Lalit, Bharat, etc.
