Prof Amitabh Mattoo appointed as Dean of SIS in JNU

JAMMU, Feb 8: Dr Amitabh Mattoo, Professor in International Relations & Foreign Policy and former Vice-Chancellor of Jammu University, has been appointed as the Dean of prestigious School of International Studies (SIS), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi.
SIS is one of the largest and oldest institutions dedicated to the study of foreign policy, diplomacy, security and international relations. External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman are alumni of this School.
Before being appointed as the Dean, Dr Amitabh Mattoo was Professor and Chair of the Centre for International Politics, Organization and Disarmament at SIS. He was also concurrently Honorary Professor at the University of Melbourne (founder CEO of the Australia Institute) and Deputy Chair of the German Institute of Global & Area Studies.
Prof Mattoo is also the President of the Indian Association of International Studies.
