DODA, May 29: The Government has ordered probe into the extensive damage caused to the forest in Keshwan block of Kishtwar district.
Official sources said that after receiving complaints and taking cognizance of some photos and information uploaded on social media in Kishtwar -Doda area about damage caused to forest in Compartment No. 3 Thakrai (Keshwan Block) , the Conservator of Forests, Chenab Circle, Sat Paul, constituted a Joint Committee of Forest Protection Force and Forest Territorial officials , led by Assistant Director, FPF Kishtwar, Abdul Rashid Lone to hold thorough inquiry .
The Inquiry Committee was directed to visit the spot and submit report. The fact finding team would submit the report to the office of Conservator of Forest at Doda within two days. The other members of the inquiry committee are FPF Inspector, Altaf Hussain Wani, Forester Shakir Iqbal, Naseer Ahmed, Muzaffar Hussain, Gohar Hussain, Noswshad Rafi and Imran Sheikh-guards.
