JAMMU, Jan 21: Mata Bhuvaneshori Asthapan Committee (MBAC) Chandpora, Harwan camp Jammu has demanded a thorough probe into the mysterious fire that engulfed the temple in village Chandpora Harwan Srinagar on January 18.
The STF jawans after seeing the fire swung into action to save the sanctum Sanctorum from further damage.
The Committee has also demanded compensation for the damage so that the temple can be rebuilt.
Apprehending a foul play the Committee said that only the facts will come to light after a thorough probe is conducted in the mysterious fire.
The Committee which met here today under the chairmanship of M L Durani (Veshisht) also demanded that a security chowki be installed near the temple and opposed the shifting of STF from the area.
