RM Public School celebrates ‘Bal Mela-cum-Science Exhibition’

JAMMU, Jan 21:  A grand programme ‘Bal Mela-cum-Science Exhibition’ was celebrated in the premises of RM Public School, Chowadhi, Sainik Colony, here today.
A galaxy of ministers, educationists and other dignitaries graced the occasion with their auspicious presence.
The programme was inaugurated by Swami Hridaynand Giri Ji, Taj Mohi-ud–Din, Minister for Medical Education and Sports and Raman Bhalla, Minister for Horticulture, Floriculture and Housing.
Shakeel Ahmad Beig, DIG Jammu presided over the function, while Padamshree Dr Jitendra Udhampuri, Ex-Director AIR Jammu was the guest of honour.
Earlier, the guests were received by the Principal and other dignitaries.
Scholarship cheques worth Rs 2,00,000 were distributed among 72 students for their academic excellence.
Various activities were conducted in the School premises, which included Science Exhibition, Art and Craft Exhibition and Flower Arrangement Competition etc.
Different Schools participated in this exhibition programme in which the children displayed their artistic, Scientific and innovative talent.
In Science Exhibition, 11 Schools participated in which Heritage School, Maharishi Vidya  Mandir and  Government Girls Higher Secondary School,  Satwari bagged 1st, 2nd and 3rd position respectively.
In Flower Arrangement Competition, MV International, Shiksha Niketan and Govt Girls Hr Secondary School, Satwari bagged 1st, 2nd and 3rd position respectively.
‘Lucky Draw’ was main attraction of the programme. Lucky Draw comprised of many attractive prizes. Items like Induction Cookers, Juicer, Mixer and Grinder, while Hot Cases etc were given to the winners as consolation prizes.
‘Bumper Prizes’ comprised of Microwave Oven, Washing Machine, 32” LED TV and Yamaha Bike.
The result of ‘Lucky Draw’ was announced in the presence of former Minister, Abdul Gani Malik; Vijay Bakaya, MLC; Alok Puri, IGP Vigilance J&K; Dr Nutan K Resutra, Principal GGM Science College, Jammu and Rajesh Bakshi.
First prize ‘Yamaha Bike’ was announced for Ticket no 29497. Second Prize  i.e 32” LED TV was announced for Ticket No 18507. Third prize i.e ‘Washing Machine’ was announced for Ticket No 23400. Fourth prize i.e ‘Microwave Oven’ was announced for Ticket No. 28433.
The function concluded with vote of thanks presented by the Principal.
