SRINAGAR: A Principal along with six employees of Government Boys Higher Secondary School (BHSS) and District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) in Pampore were today suspended for unauthorised absence from duty.
A team of Director School Education Kashmir (DSEK) today visited the BHSS and found Principal and Senior Assistant absent from the duty, who were later suspended. Four lecturers and in-charge DIET Pampore were also put under suspension for remaining absent from their duties during the visit.
Though the State Government has announced winter vacation in educational institutions in the Kashmir Valley and winter zone of Jammu region, the Head of Departments (HOD) and ministerial staff have been directed to remain present in their respective place of postings during the vacation. (AGENCIES)
