RAJOURI, Apr 8: The Police has arrested the main accused in a case of alleged kidnapping and rape of a minor girl in Thanamandi area.
Official sources said that on Monday, a villager from Thanamandi area, lodged a written complaint against driver and conductor of a passenger vehicle (Mini-bus) JK11/ 4223, alleging that the accused persons kidnapped his 15 years old daughter on April 6, when she was going for some work in Rajdhani village.
In the complaint, he alleged that the accused took her to Rajouri in their vehicle and then took back to Lah during night where they committed rape on her.
Taking note of the complaint, a case in FIR No. 33/2019 u/s 363/376-D RPC, 08 POCSO Act has been registered in Thanamandi Police Station and investigation started by a team of police headed by SHO Thanamandi, Javed Malik.
Main accused of the case has been arrested by police and vehicle also seized.
