Presentation Convent Gandhi Nagar celebrates 61st Annual Day

On the inaugural day, Chief Electoral Officer, J&K Shantmanu was the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Shantmanu lauded the efforts of one and all in making this event a remarkable one. He also appreciated the efforts of the School in promoting the true values of patriotism and our belongingness to the universe.
The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp followed by a welcome address. The musical extravaganza titled ‘Beckoning Light’ was a glowing tribute to the message of this international year of light and Soil. It revolved around the awesome fact that we are a microcosm of the Macrocosm. The story line of the musical depicted the pain and predicament of an expatriate who having achieved everything she could possibly desire, finds that true happiness and peace had eluded her. In her search for life’s meaning she is lead on an amazing voyage within and ends up reconnecting to her true self and her Motherland- India.
The audience was spell bound by the power packed performance. This love rendition by the students, was an attempt to awaken each individual to the power within to make a difference and to transform the world.
