JAMMU: Minister of State for Hajj and Auqaf, Syed Farooq Ahmad Andrabi has asked the State Hajj Committee to make all requisite preparations for Hajj-2017 in advance.
Chairing an officers meeting here today, the Minister called for time-bound completion of all ongoing works at Hajj House Bemina so that all arrangements in put in place for Hajj 2017. “All requisite preparations including repairs, renovations of Hajj House besides improvement in basic amenities should be carried out well in advance,” the Minister directed the officers.
Commissioner Secretary Revenue, Mohammad Ashraf Mir, Special Secretary Revenue, Farooq Ahmad Shah, Executive Officer State Hajj Committee, Syed Qamar Sajad, Director Finance Revenue, Deputy Director Planning Revenue attended the meeting.
During the meeting threadbare discussion was held on various matters related to augmentation of the facilities for Hajj pilgrims in the State and Makah and Medina Munnawara.
The meeting also reviewed the present facilities at Hajj House Bemina and discussed the status of pending works, commissioning of solar panel, grant in aid matters, pay anomaly, regularization of casual workers, constitution of survey write-off committee etc.
The Minister said the pilgrims expressed great satisfaction over the arrangements made by the State Government during Hajj 2016. “All required measures should be put in place well in time for providing best possible services to the pilgrims,” he added.
