UDHAMPUR, Oct 22: Municipal Councillor Preeti Khajuria of Ward number 1 here today dedicated the newly constructed tiled lane and drain in Jakhaini area to the residents of the area.
Work of the tiled lane and drain was completed at a cost of Rs. 9.84 lakh and the complete lane and drain was inaugurated by Hussan Jaan, an elderly lady of the locality.
Speaking on the occasion Preeti Khajuria said that residents of the area were living there for the last 50 years but the lane was unpaved and broken.
She said that first of all she got construction work of streets and protection wall done in the street at a cost of Rs. 21 lakh and now further construction work of the tiled lane and drain has been completed.
The Councillor informed that the government does not provide adequate funds to big Wards as per their requirements due to which pace of development slows down and work is not completed on time leaving the public to suffer.
