JAMMU, May 19: People of village Raya near Vijaypur are without electricity for the last five days.
The main transformer supplying power supply to the area was damaged on last Wednesday and since then several localities in the village are without electricity.
Despite repeated pleas to the PDD authorities for repair of the damaged transformer and restoration of the power supply, the affected villagers are getting only lip service and assurance.
The locals have threatened to take to streets if the power supply is not restored within 24 hours.
