Power Grid, SJVN sign agreement for connectivity of Rampur HEP

JAMMU, Nov 16: Power Grid Corporation of India limited and SJVN signed an agreement for connectivity of 412 MW Rampur Hydel Elctric Project (HEP) to inter-State transmission licensee as per provisions of Indian Electricity Grid Code (IEGC) of Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC).
The agreement was signed by KR Suri, General Manager (O&M) on behalf of Power Grid and Romesh Kumar Kapoor, General Manager (C&SO) on behalf of SJVN Limited in presence of senior executives from both organizations.
As per agreement, SJNV had applied to the Power Grid for connection of the 412 MW Rampur HEP, Kullu district, in the State of Himachal Pradesh Power Grid’s Transmission System and use of the its Transmission System to transmit electricity to and from Rampur through the Inter-State Transmission System.
Power Grid agreed to transmit electricity as well as real time data to and or from connection point at the Rampur HEP Generation switchyard connected through LILO of Nathpa-Jhakri-Nalagarh.
