JAMMU, Aug 24: Bhartiya Gujjar Mahasabha State president, Eshfaq-ur-Rehman Poswal, called on the Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh at New Delhi and demanded from him to visit Karnah constituency in border district, Kupwara, Kashmir and announce recruitment for youth in security forces besides taking stock of the people’s problems.
Poswal, in a meeting with Rajnath Singh informed him that the constituency has been lagging behind in development due to continuous neglect of the State Government. “The roads are in a dilapidated condition, the health and educational facilities are negligible, and above all the area is marred by unemployment”, Poswal informed Rajnath Singh.
He demanded from the Home Minister to visit the area and take on spot assessment of the people’s problems. He demanded from him to announce recruitment for the youth in BSF, CRPF, ITBP and Police so that the youth of Tangdhar, Keran, Jumagand and adjoining areas get employment and can also serve the Nation.
Poswal also demanded from Rajnath Singh that the work on Sadhna Tunnel be started immediately as people remain cut off for 6 months due to heavy snowfall.
He demanded that a roads from Sadhna to Teelwal, Farqian Gali to Keran, Jumagand Gali to Jumagand, be also constructed for better connectivity.
