KISHTWAR, Oct 4: Expressing serious concern over the failure of the authorities in filling up the vacant posts of doctors and para medical staff in District Hospital Kishtwar as well as primary health centers of Chatroo, Dachan and Paddar, senior Congress leader and member Civil Society, Shamsher Singh Bhandari today urged the Government to look into the matter by posting the staff in the hospitals so that the people living in this remote area may not suffer any more in future.
In a statement issued here today Bhandari said that one post of radiologist and one post of dermatologist besides various posts of para medical staff are vacant  in District Hospital Kishtwar.
He said even the PHCs of Chatru, Dachan and Paddar  face shortage of staff and hence the people in this far flung area are confronted with many hardships. He said despite bringing the matter in the notice of concerned Minister as well as local representative no effective steps were taken to solve the problem.
He also demanded ventilator for DH Kishtwar besides a critical care ambulance for shifting of serious patients in case of emergencies especially those injured in accidents to GMC Jammu.
Bhandari made an appeal to newly appointed Director of Health Services Jammu to take personnel interest in solving these issues.
