Positive global cues lift soybean futures

NEW DELHI, June 6: Soybean prices went up by  Rs 35 to Rs 3,568 per quintal in futures trade today after speculators accumulated fresh positions amid positive global leads.
Marketmen said expansion of positions by participants, tracking a firm trend in global markets, mainly supported the upside in soybean futures.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, soybean for July contracts spurted by Rs 35 or 0.99 per cent to Rs 3,568 per quintal, in an open interest of 94,900 lots.
Soybean for delivery in June also hardened by Rs 27 or 0.77 per cent to Rs 3,555 per quintal, depicting an open interest of 65,720 lots. (PTI)
