JAMMU, Mar 10: The monthly meeting of Akhil Bharatiya Poorva Sainik Seva Parishad was held at Kargil Bhawan where all the district and tehsil presidents and vice presidents were present. A large number of issues concerning the Ex-servicemen and the society were discussed during the meeting. Capt (retd) Bansilal and Capt (retd) Ganesh Ji highlighted the abnormality in pension of JCOs and ORs and requested for action at the appropriate level. Brig (retd) Balbir Singh, president Akhil Bharatiya Poorva Sainik Seva Parishad informed the gathering that concern has already been conveyed to the national president Lt Gen (retd) VK Chaturvedi. He has assured that no injustice will be done to any Ex-servicemen.
Col (retd) Sukhvir Mankotia, general secretary while discussing pension issue said that it is observed that some objectionable videos have been uploaded by some miscreants to create a divide in Ex-servicemen brotherhood. He advised everyone to be careful of such propaganda videos. He further added that we are respected in the society because of our disciplined behaviour and we should be careful of such people defaming our Armed Forces.
Col (retd) VS Mangotra, while speaking on the occasion said “We should always contribute towards nation building and society”.
Brig (retd) Balbir Singh Sambyal, honoured Capt (retd) Varinder Salathia for his appointment as Assistant Registrar of Cluster University. He said that Capt Salathia contributed a lot in improving the education standard of the Army and now working for the younger generation.
The meeting culminated with the singing of the National Anthem by all the Ex-servicemen.
