Jammu, Mar 10: An awareness programme was organized by Child Development Project Officer today at Panchayat Ghar Dansal.
The camp was organized in collaboration with Revenue Department, Health Department and Education Department with active participation of Parminder Kumar, Naib Tehsildar Jhajjar Kotli, Dansal, Dr. Manzoor Hussain Block Medical Officer Dansal, Dr. Anuradha Medical officer Dansal and Romal Teacher Soma Devi Sarpanch Dansal was the guest of honour on the occassion .There were around 100 participants on the occasion.
The welcome address was delivered by CDPO Dansal Ranbireshwar Singh Jamwal. He briefly explained about the benefits of various schemes of Mission Poshan. Block Medical Officer Dansal briefed about the various schemes being implemented by dept of health and medical education for the welfare of women and children. On this occasion Sarpanch Soma Devi Panchayat Halqa Dansal praised the working of ICDS Staff for their enormous efforts in reducing malnutrition, MMR, IMR and school drop outs .
Various nutritious recipes prepared by the Anganwadi Workers were displayed and distributed among the participants. Anemia tests were conducted on the spot and Iron, Folic Acid and Calcium supplements were distributed among the women participants.
Guest and meritorious students of Govt. Middle School Dansal were also facilitated at the culmination of the Programme.
