Poor students real victims of privatization of education: CVSA

Jammu, Sept 17: Chenab Valley Students Association (CVSA) has said that poor students of Jammu and Kashmir are the real victims of privatization of education and culture of private tuitions.
Talking to media persons here today in Jammu, CVSA State president Mehran Anjum Mir said that private tuitions became a fashion in education system and it is spreading like a jungle fire which adversely affected the poor students who can’t afford this fashion.
He appealed to the Education Minister to check the management of private tutorials in J&K particularly Govt teachers who were imparting private tuitions besides forcing the students of schools to join private tutorials. He mentioned that since the present coalition Govt is claiming to streamline the education scenario of J&K and promoting Govt schools for the same, then Govt must take the issue of privatization of education in J&K seriously and immediately concrete steps should be taken without wasting any time.
Vipin Behal State Vice President CVSA claimed that in Govt Institutions, the educational standard is degraded and Govt institutions are far behind private ones. He appealed to the Minister to take strict action against this issue and save educational system of J&K.
He further appealed the Govt to fix the tuition fee as per the parental income of the student.
