‘Poor drainage system in Nanak Nagar’

JAMMU, Apr 17: The Action Committee of Nanak Nagar has highlighted the problem of poor drainage system in Lane Number 11 and 12 of Sector 6 in Ward 43, Nanak Nagar.
A handout of the Committee claimed that drains of the area are not properly levelled due to which the dirty water does remains standing there and not leave for the central drain and cause problems like dirty smell, mosquito breeding etc thereby affecting the people living in the vicinity.
Committee members also said that authorities of Jammu Municipal Corporation never pay any heed towards this problem and many times the dirty water also enters into the houses in the area thereby causing damages.
They have urged upon the concerned authorities in JMC to look into the matter.
