POONCH, Nov 15: In connection with the Poonch Link up Day, the Army and Civil Administration jointly launched a cleanliness drive (Swachh Abhiyan) in the town here today.
The children from various Government and private schools of the town participated in this campaign. A large number school children assembled in the Sports stadium and carried awareness campaign. The theme of the programme was `Green Poonch, Clean Poonch’. The children along with VIPs also planted some samplings at different points.
Brig N S Brar from Poonch Brigade along with DC Poonch M H Malik and SSP Mr flagged off the awareness march by children. Many district level officers and teachers also participated. The children were carrying banners and placards in their hands to create awareness among the masses.
