JAMMU, May 9: In a significant step towards fostering collaboration between academia and industry, Government Polytechnic College, Bikram Chowk Jammu and Center for Invention, Innovation, Incubation and Training (CIIIT) Jammu, today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Manjushree Technopack Limited, a prominent Amritsar-Punjab based company.
This agreement, sets the stage for a partnership aimed at narrowing the gap between theoretical knowledge acquired in academic settings and the practical skills demanded by the evolving industries.
The MoU was signed between Er Arun Bangotra, Principal, Government Polytechnic Jammu and Center for Invention, Innovation, Incubation and Training (CIIIT) Jammu and Rajinder Kumar Senior Manager, Manjushree Technopack Limited Amritsar Punjab and Sumesh Kumar, HR Manjushree Technopack Limited.
Er Arun Bangotra, Principal of Government Polytechnic Jammu, said that this partnership is a significant stride towards ensuring their students to be equipped with the latest skills and knowledge demanded by the industries. He further informed that Government Polytechnic Jammu has established a Center for Invention, Innovation, Incubation & Training (CIIIT) to impart training in latest trends of Manufacturing Technology, Automobile Engineering conforming to Industry 4.0 with the help of Tata Technologies Ltd Pune.
Rajinder Kumar, Senior Manager, Manjushree Technopack Limited, Amritsar-Punjab, represented by Sumesh Kumar, HR Manjushree Technopack Limited, Amritsar-Punjab, shared his optimism that bridging the gap between academia and industry, collectively they can contribute to the growth and development of the workforce.
Manjushree Technopack Limited will train the students and faculty by organizing the hands-on training workshops on latest technologies and shall also conduct various programmes in the institute to promote the start-ups and entrepreneurship ecosystem in J&K and will provide the placement to the final year and passout students. This collaboration aligns with commitment of CIIIT Jammu in fostering innovation and supporting the next generation of professionals.
