Polytechnic Colleges demand implementation of AICTE pay scales

JAMMU, Jan 18: J&K Polytechnic Colleges faculty and staff demanded implementation of AICTE pay scales, service conditions & qualification for the teachers and other academic staff in technical (Diploma) Institutions vide AICTE Regulations 2010 dated 05.03.2010.
A deputation of J&K Polytechnic Colleges faculty today met Minister for Technical Education, Moulvi Imran Raza Ansari and apprised him of their long pending issues.
They said that despite the completion of all the codal formalities for the notification to be issued in favour of the JK Polytechnic faculty regarding implementation of AICTE pay scales & service conditions, no concrete step is taken regarding in this issue.
They said the file regarding the issue is under consideration with the Pay Anomaly Committee and requested the Minister for clearance of the same.
The deputation strongly demanded for immediate notification and stressed upon the J&K Government for early redressal of their long pending problem.
In their charter of demands, the Forum submitted that All the Polytechnics offering diploma program in engineering & technology are governed by the rules and regulations of All India Council for Technical Education New Delhi and their recognition is mandatory for running the Diploma Engineering Programmes.
