JAMMU, Jan 18: First Lady of Salal Power Station Vanita Shekhar, wife of Himanshu Shekhar, General Manager, Salal Power Station under the initiative ‘Joy of Giving’ visited Government Primary School Jyotipuram and provided shoes, stationery and sweets to the students.
She was accompanied by other ladies of Salal Officers Ladies Club.
The requirement of shoes for the students was observed by Vanita and other members of the Salal Officers’ Ladies Club during their last visit to school in December 2017 when they had provided warmers to the students.
The students badly needed the shoes in view of cold weather conditions. The club members led by Vanita also provided lunch to the students.
Assuring full support of Salal Officers Ladies Club to the students with respect to their future requirements to facilitate them in their studies, Shekhar had a light chit-chat with the students.
She took the opportunity to advise the students to devote themselves whole heartedly in their studies. Motivating the students to take interest in their studies, she said that lack of resources never remains a hurdle for achieving good scores if one is devoted to studies.
