Polygraph test to be conducted soon

NEW DELHI, May 21:
Police Commissioner B S Bassi said today that the polygraph test to be conducted in the Sunanda Pushkar murder case on three ‘suspects’ — former Union Minister Shashi Tharoorâ’s domestic help Narain Singh, driver Bajrangi and his family friend Sanjay Dewan — would be carry out soon once the dates are finalised.
Earlier, police used to call these suspects as witnesses. The Delhi Police’s plea for the lie detector test was allowed by a trial court on Wednesday.
The Special Investigating Team (SIT) appealed that it should be allowed to conduct a polygraph test as they feared they might be hiding something.
Former Congress Minister Shashi Tharoor has been questioned three times as his wife Sunanda had alleged before her death that he had an affair with a Pakistani journalist. Mr Tharoor has stated, “I am ready to say all after the investigation is complete. I will fully cooperate with the investigators.” Sunanda was found dead in a Delhi premier hotel on January 17 last year (UNI)
