Political parties trying to politicize Guru affair: PK

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Mar 8: The mainstream political parties are trying to politicized the Guru affair rather than finding out a solution to the prevailing unrest in Kashmir valley, said president, Panun Kashmir (PK), Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo in a meeting of the Political Affairs Committee of Panun Kashmir.
The meeting which held under the chairmanship of Prof ML Raina, chairman, Political Affairs Committee (PAC)termed it unfortunate that the platform of the State Assembly is being misused to eulogize a person who attacked the very foundations of Indian democracy.
The Kashmir centric parties are competing with each other on the said issue in order to play to the secessionist galleries and satiate the anti-India sentiment, the meeting asserted, adding Panun Kashmir condemns all such moves aimed to weaken the nationalized agenda and opinion on Kashmir.
The PAC chairman said that the recent assassination of two IRP personnel and targeted killings of many Sarpanchs and Panchs in north Kashmir shows that terrorism is alive in the valley. He said that the secessionist campaign in the State is providing justification to the terror operatives and therefore there is an urgent need to deal with the situation with a firm policy.
Spokesperson, PK, Virendra Raina demanded full security to the Kashmiri Pandits based in the Valley in view of enhanced threat perceptions. The renewed debate in the Assembly about the lifting of AFSPA is fraught with dangerous consequences as it would endanger the security and safety of the nationalist population including Kashmiri pundits in Kashmir, he asserted.
