JAMMU, Mar 28: Various political leaders, parties and social organizations condemned the militants attack in two different areas of district Kathua in which two civilians and one army personnel were killed and many others injured.
Former Union Minister, Member Parliament and President J&K Pradesh Congress Committee Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz strongly condemned the firing by unknown gunmen in Kathua today in which two civilians and Army personnel were killed and others got injured.
Former Minister RS Chib condemned the cowardice attack of militants in district Kathua resulting into death of three persons including Army personnel and injuries to many others. He expressed his heart felt sympathy with the family members of the deceased and injured persons.
Former Minister and AICC member Abdul Gani Vakil condemned the militant attack in Kathua district and expressed his grief and sorrow over innocent killings. He appealed people to stand united against enemy who has a sole aim to weaken the democratic setup in India. He said that our enemy is trying to disturb election process out of frustration.
Criticizing militant attack and killing of civilians, former Minister and senior Congress leader Manjit Singh today termed the militants attack as frustration of the militant outfits following which they restored to barbarian act. Singh appealed Government to adopt strict stand against the militants and give security forces more powers in the border areas.
Former Power Minister Babu Singh condemned the twin militant attacks in Dayalachack and Kathua, saying it reflects that Pakistan is continuing with its strategy to strike at will through proxy war of terror and challenging the dignity and ego of the India. In a statement, Singh warned the Pakistan to come on track of peace and development by shunning the path of bloodshed otherwise India will have to take a strict stand which would never be good for the Pakistan’s sponsored terrorist outfits.
BJP candidate for Udhampur-Kathua-Doda constituency, Dr Jitendra Singh, condemned militants attack and lashed out at Congress for its weak kneed policy towards Pakistan and appeasement towards separatists. He also flayed the Government for allowing unchecked sale of army uniforms which were used by the terrorists in today’s incident. Dr Singh said this was an act by anti-national forces who were frustrated by the grand success of Narendra Modi’s rally at Hiranagar recently. Dr Singh also visited the hospital and enquired about the condition of the injured persons.
Patron of PDP Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and President Mehbooba Mufti strongly condemned Dayalachak attack and expressed sympathy with the family of an innocent civilian who lost life in the attack. In a statement issued here today, leaders of PDP said that today’s attack was handiwork of anti-peace forces. They asked the authorities to provide adequate medical facilities to those who were injured in the attack.
In a meeting of J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu, held in the High Court Complex, the terrorist attack at Dayala Chak and Army Camp Janglote, Kali Bari, Kathua which caused loss of lives and critical injuries to the innocent citizens was strongly condemned. Citing today’s terrorist attack as an eye opener for those who are consistently advocating the removal of AFSPA, President of the Association MK Bhardwaj appealed to the State and Central Government to strengthen the security grid and VDC’s and creation of more such VDC’s in the border Villages of Jammu, Samba, Kathua and other parts of the State.
Chamber and Commerce and Industry held a meeting under the chairmanship of its president YV Sharma and condemned the brutal attack by the militants at Dayalachack, Kalibari-Janglote in district Kathua in which two civilians were killed and many others were injured. Chamber appealed the Government to take every possible steps to ensure best treatment to the injured.
The activist of National Panthers Student Union (NPSU) and Young Panthers held anti-Pakistan protest against militant attack in Kathua.
Reacting to the terror attack, National Panthers Party (NPP) candidate for Kathua-Udhampur-Doda constituency Prof Bhim Singh has urged Prime Minister to dismiss Omar Abdullah to save J&K from further death and destruction.
Dogra Front and Shiv Sena under the leadership of Ashok Gupta took out a procession against the attack of the terrorists on the army camp in Janglot, Kalibari, Kathua. The workers burnt Pakistani flag and effigies of the pro Pakistani leaders.
Jammu West Assembly Movement president Sunil Dimple along with workers of the movement held anti-pakistan protest and condemned the militants attack in Kathua.
Former Minister Randhir Singh and State president, NCP condemned the militants attack at Kathua, in which previous lives were lost and others were injured. Singh demanded 10 lakh compensation and employment to family member of the deceased and proper treatment to injured persons on Government expenses.
J&K Ex-Services League president Major General Goverdhan Singh Jamwal along with other members of the league condemned the militants attack. President asked Divisional Commissioner, Secretary Home and Deputy Commissioners of the border districts to raise more Village Defence Committees along the Border and also issue weapons to the ex-servicemen vis-à-vis arms license.
India against Reservation condemned the militant attack at Dayalachak in J&K and appealed the Government to take strong action against militancy.
To express their resentment over militants attack, Kandi Ekta Manch under the presidentship of Ashok Jasrotia held a protest and burnt Pakistani flag. Jasrotia urged UNO to declare Pakistan as militant State.
President of Sangram Sena RR Raina condemned the militants attack in district Kathua and demanded immediate relief for deceased and injured families.
Duggar Vikas Manch held a meeting under the chairmanship of its president Dineshwar Singh Jamwal and condemned the militants attack. Jamwal flayed the Government for allowing unchecked sale of Army uniforms which were used by the terrorists in today’s incident.
