SRINAGAR: A photograph of a policeman and some civilians facilitating copying at a board examination centre in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district went viral on social networking sites today, prompting authorities to shift the centre and place the supervisory staff under suspension.
Many family members, friends and even an on-duty policeman were photographed while helping candidates of class 10 examination at the centre at Government Higher Secondary School, Tekipora Lolab in the district yesterday.
The pictures were posted on social networking sites, calling upon the authorities to act.
Acting upon the complaints, Director, School Education, Kashmir Shah Faesal today said the department has decided to shift the examination centre.
“We have decided to shift the center and change the supervisory staff,” Faesal said in a post on Facebook.
He said Education Minister Naeem Akhtar also spoke to Director General of Police K Rajendra to seek action against any policemen involved. (AGENCIES)
