JAMMU, May 25: The CCTNS team of Jammu and Kashmir Police here has traced 33 missing smartphones worth around Rs 6 lakh and returned them to their rightful owners during a programme held at District Police Lines (DPL) Jammu.
Addressing media persons, the SP Headquarters Jammu, Anna Sinha said the recovered mobile phones belonged to complainants from different areas, with some cases pending for nearly four years.
She said the smartphones were traced through sustained technical investigation and coordinated follow-up by the CCTNS Team.
During the programme, the recovered devices were formally handed over to the owners, who expressed relief and gratitude to the police for tracing their lost phones.
Meanwhile, the SP Headquarters Jammu advised people to follow proper cyber hygiene practices and remain cautious while using mobile phones and digital platforms to prevent misuse of personal data and online frauds.
