Police supports senior citizens cause under CAP

JAMMU, Apr 6: Under Civic Action Programme (CAP), J&K Police provided financial assistance to HelpAge India for smooth functioning of Helpline Services for the older people of J&K.
The cheque was presented by Dr Sunil Gupta, Senior Superintend of Police (SSP) Jammu to Bhavneshwar Sharma, State Head, Punjab, Haryana and J&K and Sunita Santoshi, Incharge Jammu Branch of HelpAge India in presence of Romesh Kotwal SP Headquarters Jammu and SDPO West Sugandha Mahajan.
Sunita Santoshi, Incharge HelpAge Jammu Branch informed that a Toll Free Number 18001801253 is functional in J&K and any issue related to the older people can be discussed on this toll free number.
HelpAge officials including Parshotam Kumar, Elders Helpline Counselor, Dr Rohit Tickoo Consultant HelpAge Physiotherapy Centre Jammu and Neeru Sharma, Officer Value Education on Age Care Programme Jammu were also present.
