JAMMU, Apr 6: J&K High Court Bar Association will continue to suspend work in all the courts tomorrow in protest against the untoward incident in NIT Srinagar.
The general house meeting of J&K High Court Bar Association was held this morning under the chairmanship of its President Abhinav Sharma. The participants condemned the untoward incident in NIT Srinagar and expressed concern over safety of the non-local students.
As a mark of protest, the Bar Association suspended the work in High Court, District Courts and Tribunals today. “Even tomorrow the Bar will suspend the work”, a spokesman of the Bar said.
The Bar has stressed upon the authorities to curb such incidents in future to order to maintain peace and harmony in the entire State. “The safety and security of the non locals is the prime responsibility and obligation of the State Government and steps should be taken to ensure that such incidents do not reoccur in future”, the Bar said.
