Police rescues 21 bovine animals

RAMBAN, Feb 18: A police party of Ramban Police Station intercepted a truck bearing number JK14A9461 moving from Jammu to Srinagar and found 10 bovine animals in it loaded in cruel manner without any food and water.
Driver of the vehicle was identified as Tariq Ahmed Gujjar son of Khalid Hussain of Jakheni, Udhampur and the truck was carrying bovine animals without any permission.
Police rescued the bovine animals under operation Kamdhenu and registered a case U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act.
Meanwhile, in another similar incident, police party of Chanderkote police station intercepted a vehicle of Tata Mobile make bearing number JK20-8510 moving towards Srinagar.
After checking the vehicle, it was found laden with six bovine animals with utmost cruelty and without any food and water.
Driver of the vehicle fled away from the spot and the vehicle was carrying bovine animals to valley without any permission.
All the six bovine animals were rescued and a case U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act was registered.
In yet another such incident, police party of Batote intercepted a vehicle of Mahindra Tata Mobile make bearing number JK02-BG-3589 on its way towards Srinagar and after checking of the vehicle it was found laden that five bovine animals in utmost cruel manner without any food and water.
The driver fled away from the spot and the bovine animals were rescued. A case has been registered U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act at PS Batote in this regard.
All the arrests and rescue operations were made by police parties headed by SHO Ramban Sandeep Charak, SHO Chanderkote P.D Singh and SHO Batote Sudher Sadotra under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Ramban Pardeep Singh Sen with the overall supervision of SP Ramban, Mohita Sharma.
