SAMBA, Sept 23: District Police Samba today successfully foiled an attempt to smuggle bovines in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Bari-Brahmana by rescued 15 bovines and arrested bovine smuggler.
A police party of PS Bari-Brahmana during special Naka laid at Dhainsar Road, Bari-Brahmana, intercepted a truck bearing Registration Number, HR58A/9652 for checking.
During checking the vehicle, 15 bovines were found laden inside it without any permission and were tied in a cruel manner.
However driver of the vehicle managed to fled away from spot and his associate namely Farooq son of Islam of Mohanpura, tehsil Nakur, district Saharanpur UP has been arrested and the truck was also seized.
In this connection, a case FIR No. 178/2022 U/S 188/429 IPC, 11 PCA Act has been registered in Police Station Bari Brahmana. Further investigation is going on.
