JAMMU, Nov 26: A 60 year old woman lodged a complaint in Lakhanpur Police Station today that she was gang raped by five persons after kidnapping her yesterday.
A 60 year old lady of Nathi in Lohi Malhar tehsil of Kathua district lodged a complaint with Lakhanpur Police Station that she while coming out of district Court Kathua yesterday where she had gone in connection with a case, some five persons including a matador driver offered her lift to Billawar but she refused the same on the plea that she has to go to her relatives house in Jagatpur Kathua.
In her complaint she said that when she reached near Jagatpur the same persons who had offered her lift blocked her way and kidnapped her. Later they took her to some unknown place and gang raped her. One of the persons also threatened her with gun point. They later threw her down from matador. The locals also saw the episode but they did not came near for her rescue, she alleged.
The Lakhanpur police has registered a case under Section 363 IPC and started investigation in this regard. The police has send the lady for medical check up and the report of the same is awaited.
