SRINAGAR : The State police today registered First Information Report (FIR) in recent killings at Gagran Shopian, where curfew was again relaxed this afternoon.
Official sources said police finally registered an FIR after more than a week in Gagran Shopian killings allegedly by security forces.
The Government has already ordered magisterial inquiry into these killings. However, locals and mainstream parties have rejected the magisterial probe and demanded judicial inquiry.
Police have meanwhile, recorded statement of a injured youth who was also injured in the September 7 firing near Gagran camp.
Meanwhile, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti today visited Shopian. She was prevented last week from visiting there.
She demanded immediate shifting of CRPF camp from Gagran as decided by the State Cabinet a week ago.
However, she opposed deployment of Special Task Force (STF) or surrendered militants in the camp after shifting of CRPF from the area.
Meanwhile, curfew was again relaxed from 1600 hrs this afternoon. However, shops remained closed and traffic was off the roads.
There was no report of any major untoward incident during the relaxation period. (AGENCIES)
