Police pursuing leads in Bus Stand attack

JAMMU, June 12: Police was pursuing various leads in May 25 grenade blast at General Bus Stand, Jammu in which three police personnel and a civilian were injured. However, no arrests have been made so far.
SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta told the Excelsior that police was following various leads and clues to reach to the accused, who haven’t been identified so far. However, he said, a special police team was on the job.
Reliable sources said that there was no CCTV coverage of the grenade attack site or even in the vicinity, a result of which police couldn’t get any major clue about identification of the militant(s), responsible for lobbying the grenade.
Moreover, it was dark in the area when the grenade was lobbed around 10 pm and none could see face of the militants (s).
Police was confident that it would reach to the accused by pursuing few available leads shortly.
