SRINAGAR, May 21: Police drug de-addiction centre conducted an awareness programme in Candid Higher Secondary School, Nowgam in Srinagar.
A police spokesman claimed under the initiative ‘Say No to Drugs”, Police Drug De-addiction centre conducted an awareness programme on drug abuse in which more than 300 students and management of the school took part.
“A team of mental health professionals from Police Drug De-addiction comprising of Haris Abrar Kashmiri, Zahid Jeelani and Fidah Hussain Mir educated the participants about the ill effects of drug abuse,” the spokesman said.
He said the chairman of the Candid Higher Secondary School, Abdul Majeed told the participants that drug abuse has become serious problem in our society which needs to be dealt with immediately.
