Police organizes career counseling in Kargil

SRINAGAR, Aug 14:  Police today organized a career counseling program for 400 students at Indoor Stadium in border district of Kargil.
A police spokesman said that students from Government Degree College Kargil, Boys Higher Secondary School Kargil, Girls Higher Secondary School Kargil, Suru Valley Public School Kargil, Jaffria Academy Kargil and SEMOK participated in counseling-programme.
Superintendent of Police, Rahul Malik, delivered lecture on various career opportunities besides Public Service Commission (PSC) competitive exams.
On this occasion, four other experts including Iftakar Hussain (KAS) Treasury Officer Sankoo, Vikas Atri, Accounts Officer Kargil, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Ishtiyaq Ahmad Kachoo and Shabir Hussain delivered lectures on various competitive exams.
The program was followed by interactive session where students raised various questions and were answered by panel of experts, the spokesman said.
“The participants expressed their happiness and gratitude to district police Kargil for this endeavour.
They also appreciated the role of district police Kargil for organizing such career-counseling program. The word of thanks was later presented by DySP Ishtiyaq Ahmad Kachoo on behalf of district police Kargil,” the spokesman added.
