JAMMU, July 24: A Constable of J&K Police was found hanging this evening at his residence in Udeywala area of city outskirts.
“The deceased was identified as Deepak Dharma (Belt number 1043rbn), aged 29, son of Madam Lal, resident of Surinsar (at present living at Om Nagar, Udheywala),” police sources said. They said that the Constable was found hanging under mysterious circumstances from hook of the ceiling fan at his residence.
The dead body of the deceased was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital for postmortem while inquest proceeding under Section 174 CrPC was initiated in this connection by Pounichak police.
According to the sources, the deceased police official was presently attached with Police Control Room, Jammu.
